In her lifetime, Fanny Crosby wrote over 7000 Hymns of the Faith. Born in the early 1800’s outside of New York City, Fanny became blind at a young age. Raised by her Mother and Grandmother after losing her father when she was 6 months old, she grew to be a household name by the late eighteenth century as the “Queen of Gospel Songwriters”. Some of her best-known songs include “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior”, “Blessed Assurance”, “Praise Him, Praise Him”, “Rescue the Perishing”, and “To God Be The Glory”.
