Ice Cream Days is Le Mars, Iowa’s signature summer festival, celebrating its title as the “Ice Cream Capital of the World.” The 2025 event will take place from Wednesday, June 18 to Saturday, June 21, featuring a delightful mix of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, sweet treats, and community spirit.
During Le Mars’ annual Ice Cream Days festival, The Browns—a renowned gospel family group—host special performances at their own venue, the Browns Century Theater. They will be performing their “We Are America: Patriotic Show” on June 19 at 1:30pm. They will be welcoming special guest, Chris Golden for their shows on June 20th and 21st.
We are also thrilled to bring back our “Lunch in A Cone” buffet at the Central Event Center. Serving a fun “Ice Cream Themed” twist on our made-from-scratch Iowa cooking buffet meal served before each show.

Chris Golden is an American singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with a rich musical heritage and a career spanning several decades. Born into a musical family, he is the son of William Lee Golden of The Oak Ridge Boys. Chris began his musical journey early, learning to play drums, piano, and guitar in elementary school. By age 15, he was touring with the Southern Gospel group The Telestials.
Chris has also established a successful solo career, releasing multiple albums and earning accolades such as the Inspirational Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year in 2019, Instrumentalist of the Year in 2020, and Producer of the Year. His music often reflects his faith, aiming to inspire and uplift audiences.
