WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13

*On Your Own Time • Downtown Scavenger Hunt*

– 5:00 p.m. • Tri State Drive In Cruisers at Bob’s Drive – Enjoy music from the 50s & 60s while strolling through a collection of restored, classic, street-rod, and muscle cars. Free soft serve ice cream cones compliments of Bob’s Drive Inn, Dean Foods Le Mars-Dairy Pure/Land O Lakes and BoDeans Baking Co. The PrISUm Solar Car will also be exhibited.

– 6:30-7:30 p.m. • Behind the Scenes with Bruce Miller – Le Mars Public Library – Bruce Miller, Editor of the Sioux City Journal, is also a movie critic and entertainment writer. Each year he travels to Hollywood, meeting with celebrities, touring movie sets, gathering the latest entertainment details. Bruce will share some of his favorite stories from Hollywood.

– 7:00 p.m. • Browns Century Theater -Emmet Cahill, of Ireland’s Celtic Thunder, celebrates Ice Cream Days with The Browns at their Century Theater. Join us before the show for a full dinner buffet (Ice Cream Theme) at the Central Event Center (5:30 p.m.). VIP Meet & Greet Available.

– 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. • Splash Dance Le Mars Outdoor Swimming PoolEnjoy a fun night at the Le Mars Outdoor Swimming Pool for just $1 per person. Good music and games. Concessions available.

– 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. • Kiwanis/Aktion Club Ice Cream Social Foster Park – Enjoy a complimentary cool treat before and during the evening concert. Sponsored by the Le Mars Kiwanis/Aktion Club and Blue Bunny

– 8:00 p.m. • Le Mars Municipal Band Concert – Foster Park – This fifty-piece band of professional and amateur musicians provides an “old-fashioned” concert in the park for the 112th year. Bring a lawn chair or

blanket to sit on while enjoying this popular family activity

– 6:00 p.m. • Family Bike Ride Olson Cultural Event Center – Meet at the Olson Cultural Event Center for a family bike ride on the Recreation Trail. For riders of all ages. The ride ends at the Primebank Ice Cream

Social where you can enjoy a cool treat.

– 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. • Primebank Ice Cream Social – Celebrate Primebank’s 50th Annual Ice

Cream Social. Join us for a night of fun for the entire family, including live music, kids’ entertainment and FREE ice cream sundaes served by the Primebank staff.

FRIDAY, JUNE 15

*On Your Own Time • Downtown Scavenger Hunt*

– 9:00 a.m. • Le Mars YMCA 23rd Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Le Mars YMCA Parking Lot- Join a team of 3 to 4 players to participate in the 23rd Annual YMCA 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Entry fee is $20 per player. Pre-registration required by June 6. Age groups (male and female divisions in each group) are 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under.

– 11:30 a.m. • Le Mars Historic Preservation Architectural Tour

Tours begin at the Arts Center- In one hour learn about downtown Le Mars architecture. The Le Mars Historic Preservation Commission will provide an educational tour about the architectural elements that are used in downtown Le Mars buildings.

– 2:00 p.m. • Smile Contest & Ice Cream Social Good Samaritan Society – Join Good Samaritan Society-Le Mars as they host a children’s Smile Contest and Ice Cream Social. Ages 4-7 may register from 2:00-2:30 p.m. with judging to begin at 2:30 p.m. Ice Cream Social to immediately follow for participants and spectators. Prizes for all participants.

– 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. • Kids Fun Fest! Le Mars Public Library – Kids Fun Fest, sponsored by Blue Bunny and hosted at the Library, will include two great performances plus craft activities. Duke Otherwise

will entertain with his guitar, tap shoes and distinct singing voice. Magician Jonathan May includes magic and comedy.

– 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. • Browns Century Theater – Ice Cream Days Full Dinner Buffet

– 6:00 p.m. • Extreme Stunt Show Le Mars YMCA Parking Lot,- The Le Mars Area Youth Network has partnered with Action Sports Outreach for an all new extreme stunt event for the entire family. Enjoy burgers,

hot dogs, nachos, snow cones and refreshments as you take in high flying skaters, bikes and motorcycles! Concessions open at 5:00 p.m. Lawn chairs recommended.

– 6:30 p.m. • Adult Co-ed Slow Pitch Softball Tournament Rejoice Community Church Softball Field -Rejoice Community Church will host a six-team softball tournament on Friday and Saturday. – 9:00 a.m. • Ice Cream Days Parade – Bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy one of the best parades

in Northwest Iowa, featuring the White Horse Patrol, performance by Estrellas De Jalisco, Gehlen Catholic Competition Marching Band, Abu Bekr Rat Patrol, entries from various businesses and much more. The parade will line up on Stadium Drive, near the Le Mars Community High School, and move north on 3rd Avenue SW, going east on 8th Street SW, then north on Central Avenue and proceed east on 3rd Street SE, finishing at the Courthouse.

– 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. • Art in the Park

Foster Park -See your friends at Foster Park, plus artists, crafters and professional vendors too! Food, fun and entertainment for all ages. Vendors will offer everything from professional art to crafts, purses to gift items.

– Following the Parade until 1:00 p.m. • Scoops of Fun sponsored by The Education Station

Foster Park in the Gazebo,Kids are welcome to be creative and take home a keepsake art project from Ice Cream Days fun by working with The Education Station.

– 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. • Disc Golf Tournament – West Floyd Disc Golf Course, very west end of 3rd St. SW next to West Floyd Park – Everyone is welcome to attend the 6th

annual Ice Cream Days Disc Golf Tournament. Participate or come as a spectator. Four divisions: Youth ($10), Women, ($10), Amateur ($10), and Advanced ($15). Cash payouts and prizes given to each division, pin prizes at every hole, door prizes and raffle items also offered. – 1:30 p.m. • “Luxembourg Ancestry in Plymouth County” Plymouth County Historical Museum, “Study Hall” – – The Northwest Iowa Genealogical Society invites you to hear former Le Mars resident, Jim Wiltgen, share

his extensive research on Luxembourg families that settled in Northwest Iowa. Free and open to the public.
